Yesterday as I was reading the last few pages of the book, “Islaahi Majalis” by Maulana Mufti Taqi Usmani, I came across a couplet that really moved me.
“qubul ho ke na ho phir bhi eik ne’mat hai
wo sajda jis ko tere aastaan se nisbat hai”
He was explaining and quoting Ashraf Ali Thanwi Rehmatullah alaih that it’s the blessing of Allah SubhanWaTa’ala that one performs Salah or Sajda, so we should thank Allah for that. And we should ask his forgiveness for not performing it the way it shoulf be performed as we are not perfect and there are alot of distractions during our Salah. So we should always thank Allah for giving us the taufeeq of performing Salaah and always ask for forgivess for our weaknesses.

wo aik sajda jisay tu giraan samajhta hai,
hazaar sajdoun se deta hai aadmi ko nijaat. By Dr. Mohd. Iqbal
And Im not sure but probably it is a hadees that says “Namaz parh, is se pehlay ke teri namaz parhi jaye”. Still we do not thank Allah for granting us time to be able to offer our prayers…

Yes Haris we never thank Allah for blessing us with the Taufeeq of performing our religious duties. We fail to see the “fazl” of Allah when doing things according to Quran and Sunnah… Allah Ta’ala bus hamein naik aur saleh banaye aur seedhay raaste per chalne ki taufeeq ata farmaye. Ameen

Subhanallah! Thank you for a lovely reminder of something we take for granted sometimes.
